Community nursing

Here is a video I created to help introduce the idea of nursing in a community setting. The philosophy of care is based on the belief that care directed to the individual, the family, and the group contributes to the health care of the population as a whole. An exciting field for nurses who want to take part in encouraging the development of community activities that contribute to the promotion of, education about, and maintenance of good health.

First entry

So, I'm nearing the end of my formal education as a nurse educator. I will soon graduate and have to enter the world of teaching others my knowledge as a nurse. Scary thought!

I'm starting this blog because in my research, I haven't found a good network of nurse educators and their resources on-line. I believe it will be important to start this networking as we move forward into the future of "bringing up nurses"!
